Supporting Music in Our Schools

Meet Ms. Van Ells!
Ms. Van Ells is a singer and educator based in Western Massachusetts. A two-time UMass Amherst alumni, she earned a B.M. in 2021 (Music Ed and Vocal Performance) and an M.M. in 2025 (Music Ed). Since 2020, she has sung at All Saints Church in South Hadley, and in the summer you can find her at Gerry's Music Shop. Ms. Van Ells enjoys teaching general music because she loves trying a little bit of everything, but she loves time with her awesome chorus singers, too. This is her fourth year in Belchertown, and she's looking forward to many more!

About the BBB
Belchertown Music Boosters is a 501(c) (301) comprised of volunteers who are parents and friends of the band, choir and general music students in the Belchertown Public Schools.
Who do we support?
We support the many and varied band, choir and music classes and activities by fundraising, organizing, and chaperoning events for grades K-12.
Where does the money raised go?
The funds we raise are allocated directly to the bands and choirs to support various initiatives, including awards, receptions, instrument lesson subsidies, summer music camp tuition, field trips, music clinics, uniforms, and college scholarships. Recently, we contributed to the purchase of brand new marching percussion instruments for the high school and harnesses for the middle school.
